Why might I need to complain to Parcelforce

There are a number of issues people can experience when trusting a courier company to deliver a parcel safely for them. Based on trustpilot reviews, some of the more common reasons you may need to contact the Parcelforce helpline or other channels to complain are as follows:

Online delivery status being incorrect

In this day and age, we increasingly rely on technology for a multitude of different things. Although tracking technology is mostly successful and convenient, there can be times when your parcel status is incorrect, which can lead to frustrating mistakes. Unfortunately all you can do if you believe the online of your status to be incorrect is contact Parcelforce customers services so get them to track down your parcel.

Missing parcels

Incorrect delivery times or online tracking statuses can be annoying, but parcels missing all together can be costly and time consuming. If one of your parcels goes missing, you will end up having to call the Parcelforce phone number to speak to customers services. On most occasions, they will be able to track down the parcel in time.

Incorrect expected delivery times

This is possibly one of the most frustrating incidents, and common complaints for delivery companies. While a lot of successful delivery companies deliver at weekends, there are some items that can only be delivered on weekdays.

If you work full time, it can be hard to find the time to take delivery of a parcel, so most people take a day off. If a parcel does not arrive at the specified time, you can end up wasting time and money and then not receiving your parcel. Although you can contact Parcelforce online, if this happens it will be quicker for you to call the Parcelforce phone number to ensure they can find the parcel for you and give you a more accurate delivery time.

Is the wait time long for Parcelforce customer services

Based on reviews on external websites, the wait time for Parcelforce customer services is not long, however if you phone in peak times they may be busier. In the run up to holidays like Christmas they will inevitably be more busy.

Are Parcelforce customers services helpful?

When you call Parcelforce customers services you are able to get through to a representative, which is more helpful than an automated service (although you can use and automated service to reschedule deliveries). This is more helpful than other large companies who use automated lines. Due to the hub and spoke approach that Parcelforce customer services use, it may bhe that the representative needs to either put you through to a local depot or investigate and call you back.

Are there any tips for calling Parcelforce customer services?

- Have as much information readily available as possible. If you have your parcel number, name, address, address it is going to be sent to, and then further details like the date and time you sent the parcel or where from, then you have more of a chance of them being able to help you quickly.

- Take the names of all of the people you speak to. Sometimes in busy offices notes get forgotten and messages do not get passed on. If you are passed through to multiple departments, make sure you take the names of all of the people you have spoken to. This will make it easier if your complaint is not dealt with and you need to call them back.

- Back up all phone calls with an email. Unlike phone calls, emails are free, so once you are armed with the names of the people you have spoken to, send and email to reiterate everything you have spoken about and confirm your contact details so that you are easily reachable when a resolution is found. Telephone numbers or email addresses can often be misheard on phone calls, so it is better to send this on in writing. If you can, find out the email address of the actual person you have spoken to and send them an email afterwards.

- Do not give up. There are many large companies in today's market that profit from people simply giving up on their complaints out of frustration. If you have lost a parcel, then it goes without saying you need the items found, but still do not let yourself get brushed under the carpet if you have waited around all day and been given an incorrect time. It is not fair for a company to make promises they do not keep, and it it your right to complain.
